Make Your Employer Branding Something To Someone

Cover image for a post about employer branding being something to someone, not everything to everyone.

Another week of my LinkedIn feed being filled with 'everything is awesome' employer branding and talent marketing content. 😩

This may be okay for large organisations, where you can attract people not suited to your company because the damaging effects of a bad hire can go under the radar.

But a scale-up? A hyper-growth business? An SME? Where a lousy hire can significantly harm your business with labour attrition/replacement costs, product delays, culture clashes, etc.?

In these situations, the need to have open and honest conversations that attract only relevant, compatible people from the get-go isn't just important. It can be business-critical.

A quote explaining why employer branding content needs to be something to someone not everything to everyone.
